The new Ford Escape Hybrid offers improved performance and handling, thanks to its new gas powered counterparts. It has become a leading competitor in its class and provides great fuel economy with 29 mpg. Ford gave the entire Escape line a new exterior makeover with revamped engines and transmissions, while upgrading the Escape Hybrids powertrain with a larger more powerfull 2.5L four cylinder engine and new nickel metal hydride battery pack that is 20 percent smaller and significantly lighter—Thus creating a better performing and more comfortable riding SUV.

Among some of the new highlights in the Escape Hybrid, Ford has included supportive leather seats, the highly-praised Sync entertainment system, and new easier/accessible controls. The interior is spacious enough to cart around 5 adults and still have room for storage.
